We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head – Operations to lead and manage overall manufacturing operations at a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical facility. The role is responsible for production, quality, compliance, supply chain coordination, and ensuring efficient plant performance aligned with regulatory standards and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee end-to-end plant operations including Production, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and EHS
  • Ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch as per production plans
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across operations
  • Monitor capacity utilization and implement continuous improvement initiatives

GMP & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to GMP, regulatory guidelines (USFDA, WHO, EU, etc.)
  • Maintain audit readiness and lead regulatory inspections and client audits
  • Ensure implementation of quality systems and data integrity practices

Production & Quality Oversight:

  • Ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities with required quality standards
  • Collaborate with QA/QC to maintain compliance and resolve quality issues
  • Monitor deviations, CAPA, change controls, and ensure timely closure

Supply Chain & Planning:

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse for material availability
  • Ensure proper inventory planning and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory
  • Align production schedules with business and customer requirements

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams
  • Ensure strong communication and coordination across departments
  • Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement

Engineering & Maintenance:

  • Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation activities
  • Ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance

EHS (Environment, Health & Safety):

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Promote safe working practices across the plant

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification:

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech (Chemical / Pharma) / MBA (preferred)

  • Experience:

15–25 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with at least 5–8 years in leadership role

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Strong exposure to regulatory audits and global compliance standards
  • Experience in managing large-scale pharma manufacturing units
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
