SAIC a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking creative and dedicated professionals to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance.
SAIC is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to lead, develop and execute comprehensive communications programs and campaigns. This role requires a high level of expertise to guide messaging for senior leadership, align communications with corporate objectives, and ensure consistency across all internal and external platforms. including those related to mission, technology, and workforce engagement. Work will be performed at the customer site in Springfield, VA.
The hiring of this position is contingent upon contract award. Anticipated award is fall of 2026.

Duties May Include:
- Develop and produce a wide variety of communication materials, including talking points, speeches, news articles, newsletters, official memoranda, and social media content.
- Design and create high-quality visual products such as infographics, publications, and presentations using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Provide editorial services to review and refine content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organizational style and policy.
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive communications plans and campaigns for key initiatives, programs, and events.
- Function as a trusted advisor to office-level leadership, providing guidance on messaging strategies, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication tactics.
- Analyze communication metrics and audience feedback to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements for future campaigns.
- Plan, manage, and execute a full spectrum of corporate events, including internal town halls, brown bags, and training sessions, as well as external conferences and industry engagements.
- Provide specialized protocol support for high-level meetings and visits from foreign dignitaries, managing all logistical and ceremonial details.
- Perform outreach to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the workforce, agency partners, and industry contacts.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate responses as needed.
- Provide real-time graphic facilitation to visually capture and synthesize complex discussions during meetings and workshops.
- Offer communications support for time-sensitive and high-visibility corporate requirements, adapting quickly to emerging needs.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI is REQUIRED.
- Willing and able to obtain a Polygraph.
- Experience: A range of approximately 5 to 14 years of demonstrated experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is typically required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is essential for many roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; experience developing and executing strategic communications plans.
- Experience with event management, media relations, and protocol support is highly desirable.
- Experience in government or the Intelligence Community is a significant plus.
