Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Azure .NET Developer with expertise in PowerShell scripting, Azure Web Apps, and API development. This role requires strong experience in building and maintaining scalable web applications, automating cloud operations, and delivering high‑quality documentation. The ideal candidate will thrive in an agile environment, leveraging tools like Jira for project tracking and collaboration across cross‑functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Application Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using .NET Core/Framework and Azure Web Apps
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate applications with various systems and services
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security within Azure environments
- Cloud Integration:
- Develop scalable solutions using Azure Functions, App Services, and other Azure PaaS offerings
- Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) solutions using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
- Automation:
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating Azure infrastructure deployments, monitoring, and system integrations
- Implement automated workflows to streamline DevOps processes
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, APIs, workflows, and deployment guides
- Agile Collaboration:
- Use Jira to manage tasks, track progress, and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
- Support and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in applications, APIs, and cloud services
- Monitor Azure Web Apps and API performance using tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights
Essential Functions
- Ability to think critically, research, and apply findings to day‑to‑day assigned work
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to use computer software to access various IT and data related systems
- Ability to understand and document technical ideas and convey them to a non‑technical audience
- Ability to identify, analyze, and correct defects, inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, and content
- Ability to write and understand .NET supported coding languages
- Ability to grasp foundational programming and database concepts
Required Qualifications
- Programming:
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework/Core for web and API development
- Knowledge in building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Web Applications:
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Web Apps and related cloud hosting services a plus
- Cloud Expertise:
- Understanding of Azure PaaS services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, and API Management
- Scripting:
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell for scripting and automation
- Agile Development:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and using Jira for project management
- Documentation:
- Ability to produce clear, thorough, and well‑organized documentation for technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Version Control & CI/CD:
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Preferred Qualifications
- Authentication and Security:
- Azure Active Directory and securing APIs with OAuth2, JWT, or similar protocols
- Database:
- Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Cosmos DB
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, App Insights, and centralized logging tools
- Other Scripting Languages:
- Exposure to Python, Bash, or other scripting languages a plus
Physical Requirements
