Job Description

We are looking for a Food Technologist – R&D with 2–4 years of experience in the packed and processed food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for new product development, formulation improvement, and product scale-up in an FMCG food manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong technical expertise in food formulation, ingredient functionality, shelf-life stability, and hands-on experience in lab and pilot plant trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new food products across categories such as snacks, bakery, ready-to-eat, mixes, and health foods
  • Work on product formulation, recipe standardization, and cost optimization
  • Conduct lab trials, pilot batches, and product validation studies
  • Support smooth scale-up from lab development to commercial production
  • Improve product attributes such as taste, texture, shelf-life, and nutritional value
  • Perform sensory evaluation and analyze internal and consumer feedback
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards including FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and ISO
  • Conduct shelf-life studies and stability testing of products
  • Evaluate and source raw materials for quality and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Purchase, and Marketing teams
  • Maintain proper documentation of formulations, trials, and technical reports

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Food Science and Food Technology principles
  • Experience in food product development and formulation
  • Understanding of food ingredients, additives, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and preservatives
  • Knowledge of shelf-life studies and food preservation techniques
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory and pilot plant operations
  • Familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
