Position: *CONTRACT TO PERM* -Senior DevOps Engineer with PL/SQL, SQL Loader, UNIX Tools experience to support Capital Markets * CONTRACT TO PERM * -Senior Dev Ops Engineer with PL/SQL, SQL Loader, UNIX Tools experience to support Capital Markets projects- /Location Address: Toronto/Hybrid – 2-3 days/weekContract Duration: 6 months (MUST Convert to PERM)Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/weekStory Behind the NeedBusiness group: Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers bank’s Corporate, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets businesses.Project: GBME is searching for Technical Analyst Specialist to liaison between business stakeholders and internal engineering and architect teams, ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time, efficiently and with high quality for various projects within GBME.FTE Salary Range: K-KTypical Day in Role:

  • Partner with peer engineers and various GBME teams for maintaining and upgrading software components.
  • Work closely with system owners to understand requirements from end of life, compliance standpoint, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as needed
  • Be involved in remediating code vulnerabilities (code or library reference), responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation.
  • Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing
  • Able to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).
  • Participate in daily stand-ups
  • Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure business specifications/requirements documentation is accurately prepared and comprehensive to support sizing/development efforts and as input to various project documentation.
  • Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required.
  • Participate in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, the financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.
  • Work closely across GBME technology teams during all stages of the system development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technology sides of the solution.
  • Liaising between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions.
  • Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc work as neededCandidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:1) 7-10+ years’ general experience in IT (flexible)2) Experience with: PL/SQL, SQL Loader, UNIX Tools, shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python), JAVA, XML, HTML3) EOL Software Support analyst should understand Linux fundamentals, including file systems, permissions, package management, and command-line utilities.4) Infrastructure management experience inclyding provisioning, configuring, and maintaining servers and networking components. Experience in Tools like Ansible, Puppet for automating infrastructure management tasks.5) Experience with user management, software installation, and system monitoring.6) Hands‑on experience with Docker for containerizing applications and dependencies.Nice-To-Have Skills:1) Proficiency with Git for version control and repository management.2) Experience with trading platforms such as Murex, ION, Fidessa.3) Experience with Apache Airflow.4) Monitoring tool expertise: Data Dog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Splunk.5) Capital Markets domain knowledge, preferably in FX Options, Prime Services, Commodities, or Securities Lending.6) Experience delivering software currency or tech‑debt modernization projects.Education:A recognized undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, computer science or related field required.Best VS. Average Candidate:- Ideal has a good understanding of capital markets and the software installations skillset – if they know the versions and have done upgrades, has worked on Dev Ops tools and is keeping up to date on the software- Need to have a systems analytical mindset, should be able to analyze the operating system – what is needed to update that or does it even need to be updated – expect the candidate to have that mindset and solution independentlyDoes not need specific product experience in capital markets but has worked in the space from a systems standpoint; understand trade and can work with traders and understand terms from users and business POVCandidate Review & Selection – Interview Process2 rounds – Teams Video Interviews1 technical with 1-2 members - up to 1 hour2nd – Leads will be there – 30 minutes
