How we work: AI-first, Claude-powered

At RxSense Dublin, AI is embedded in every part of the engineering workflow — this is non-negotiable. We use Claude (Anthropic's AI) as our primary tool across the full software development lifecycle: generating and reviewing code, writing tests, debugging, drafting technical documentation, exploring architecture options, and accelerating onboarding.

This is not about occasionally asking an AI a question. Every engineer on the team is expected to deeply integrate Claude into their daily work and to continuously raise the bar on how AI amplifies their output. 

Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our healthcare technology platform. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on mission-critical systems while developing your skills in distributed systems, modern cloud technologies, and AI-augmented engineering practices.

Main responsibilities

AI-first delivery

• Use Claude and AI tooling as a core part of your daily engineering workflow — for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and design.
• Direct Claude Code to produce implementations: write precise specifications, provide architectural context, and review AI output as the primary engineering act — not a secondary check.
• Review Claude-generated code for logic errors that pass surface inspection but fail under edge conditions. Build the review instincts specific to AI failure modes.
• Continuously explore new ways to leverage AI to improve team velocity and code quality.

Engineering execution

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and design discussions.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability and confidence in releases.
• Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

Required

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages (Java, C#/.NET, Python, or Go).
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with AI tools — you should already be using AI in your day-to-day work and be eager to go much further.
• Ability to write precise, unambiguous specifications: the skill that determines the quality of what Claude produces.
• Strong code review instincts, including the ability to catch locally-correct-but-logically-wrong patterns in AI-generated output.
• Understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Comfortable working in lean Agile squads with international teams.

Valued

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases; exposure to caching or data grid technologies a bonus.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience using Confluence for technical documentation, ADRs, or runbooks.
• Interest in healthcare or other regulated industries.
