Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

📍 Location: Across British Columbia, Canada

🩺 Professional Summary

We are seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (RNs) to support perioperative services across acute care facilities in British Columbia. In this dynamic role, you will deliver safe, high-quality patient care while supporting surgical teams in fast-paced OR environments.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within BCCNM RN scope of practice
• Perform circulating and/or scrub roles based on experience and site requirements
• Assist with surgical preparation, equipment setup, and instrument management
• Support surgeons and OR teams during procedures
• Maintain strict infection control, aseptic technique, and safety standards
• Document patient care and operative details accurately in EMR systems
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams

✅ Qualifications (British Columbia Standards)

• Active RN license with BCCNM
• Minimum 1+ year recent OR experience (scrub and/or circulating)
• Valid BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments
• Knowledge of perioperative protocols, sterile techniques, and surgical workflows

📅 Position Details

• Contract Duration: 4–13 weeks (extension possible)
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract
• Pay Rate: CAD $52 – $62 per hour
• Schedule: As per facility requirements
