Field Casualty Claims Adjuster

Location: Ontario, Canada (Remote but has to be open to traveling different locations across the Ontario area but primarily in the GTA)

Up to 20% travel

Salary:$ 115,000 - 125,000

Our client, a well-established global legal and insurance services organization, is seeking a Casualty Claims Adjuster to join their independent adjusting team in Canada. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced claims professional with a strong background in casualty and liability claims who is looking to join a collaborative, client-focused environment.

This role will be responsible for investigating, reporting on, and managing a caseload of insurance claims through to resolution, while ensuring a high standard of service delivery and compliance with client service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage a caseload of casualty and liability insurance claims
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide timely updates throughout the life of each claim
  • Progress claims to effective and satisfactory resolution for clients
  • Deliver a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate management information and documentation in accordance with client service level agreements

Areas of Expertise

The ideal candidate will have experience handling claims in several of the following areas:

  • Commercial General Liability
  • Construction Claims, including:
  • Builders Risk / Course of Construction
  • Wrap-Up Liability
  • Professional Liability
  • Environmental Liability
  • Equine Liability
  • Medical Malpractice

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of adjusting experience, or 7–8 years of casualty claims examining experience
  • Prior Independent Adjuster’s License, or completion of the required courses to obtain a Probationary License in Ontario
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible, solutions-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Professional, articulate, and energetic communication style
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to client service

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma
  • CIP / FCIP designation completed or in progress is considered an asset
