Active and existing security clearance required on day 1We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented Windows Systems Administrator. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi–disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods.
** This position is onsite in Jacksonville, FL. **
What YOU will do:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
Clearance is needed day one.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to, and Windows servers and workstations.
Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Windows.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel occasionally (up to 10%) to other U.S. locations for project or system support.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
