What You Will Do :
- Responsible for the structural assessments of repairs to commercial engine static components.
- Knowledge of Integrated Product Development (IPD), Structures Engineering Knowledge System (EKS), and the Product Design Review process.
- Coordinate structural analysis requirements for repairs with other ASE technical disciplines and module centers/Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs).
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to entry level structures engineers.
- Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to provide design solutions that meet design and structural requirements.
- Work independently on structural analysis solutions when historical solutions are not available or applicable. Analysis may include both classical methods and/or detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- ASE Structures provides a work environment that fosters increased development fundamentals with knowledge development of fracture mechanics and finite element analysis (ANSYS) modeling
- Coordinate with others to advance the technology and improve engineering processes/methods, plus document and present results to management and other technical leaders.
- Knowledge of Integrated Product Development (IPD), Structures Engineering Knowledge System (EKS), and the Product Design Review process.
- Primary focal for structural analysis memos (SAMs).
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 8+ years of engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degre
- U.S. Citizenship required due to program requirements
- 10% Travel
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Working knowledge of ANSYS required or other FEA software.
- Awareness of manufacturing repair processes experience a plus.
- Experience using Pratt & Whitney/industry fatigue and fracture mechanics lifing systems: PWLIFE, ARLS, or crack growth (SURCK, Darwin, Franc3D) systems a plus
- Strong understanding of low cycle fatigue (LCF) and fatigue / fracture mechanics theory and applications.
- Background in structural analysis or mechanical design.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
