The San Marcos, TX facility is looking to fill a Mechanical Assembler I Role. You will plan and perform a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work.
Working Hours: 1st shift hours (7am-3:30 pm) Monday -Friday.
What You Will Do
Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Precision Assembly: Utilize hand tools such as drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, orbital sanders, and pull motors, for daily assembly tasks.
Measurement & Inspection: Employ measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers, to ensure products meet specifications.
Blueprints & Instructions: Adherence and understanding of blueprints and operation sheets for standard work instructions in assembling products.
Equipment Adjustment: Adjust equipment based on test results and a thorough understanding of processes and machinery.
Testing & Recording: Conduct tests for oxygen purity and moisture content at various stages of the process, recording gauge readings and test results.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to PPE and cleanroom standards to prevent foreign objects and debris from contaminating products.
Quality & Safety Standards: Perform all tasks in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Must be willing and able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day.

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
Qualifications We Prefer
1 years minimum of relevant machine operation experience highly preferred
1 or more years of Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams and/or engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
1 or more years of Experience with general hand and/or power tools
