What You Will Do
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the Advanced Electronic Subsystem (AES) TRIMM X-Band product line. This includes production floor support to operations, Continuous Improvement efforts, Defect Prevention Team (DPT) support, Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) readiness, Design interface and/or Change Requests (CR), and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE)
Capturing lessons learned on current Production programs (ie Patriot, TPY, etc) and incorporating for future opportunity capture
Training/Coaching junior engineers in the value stream
Manufacturing and/or producibility reviews of new designs and other Concurrent engineering requests and/or tasks
Investigating and driving resolution (including root cause and corrective action support) to production problems, including interfacing with suppliers/supplier quality and other value streams
Ability to work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, test, and design
What You Will Learn
Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods.
They provide engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations.
They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support.
Manufacturing Engineers design, control, and improve the manufacturing process and system design through a collaborative effort with the value stream team.
You would apply your skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost and improve productivity, while maintaining a high level of safety in the manufacturing environment and quality within the product.
Qualifications We Prefer
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
1+ year of manufacturing experience

Qualifications We Prefer
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
