This position will work onsite in Windsor Locks, CT.

This position is a 1st shift role working Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 3:30pm

What You Will Do:

  • Work from complex blueprints, drawings, schematics, service manuals and written and verbal instructions.
  • Respond to electrical problems of various complexities and voltages, make repairs and request assistance on more complicated problems.
  • Use a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, strobe lights, high voltage testers and other associated equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties as directed.
  • Assist contractors in the construction of new or remodeling installations.
  • Identify and order spare parts as required.
  • May be required to take meter readings for kilowatt hours, check fire alarm and facility related batteries.
  • Improve process and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and technical support group.
  • Instruct one or two fellow employees in the proper performance of duties.
  • Keep equipment and surroundings neat and clean.
  • Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
     

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 
     

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • E1 or E2 Electrical License or Massachusetts equivalent
  • Completion of trades training in electricity
  • Experience working with PLC logic
  • Experience working with VFD logic
  • Experience working with Fire Alarm systems

The salary rate for this role is $40.31 – 50.34 USD. The salary rate provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
