What You Will Do
- Use NPSS to conduct thermodynamic modeling of engine performance for conceptual designs and component updates. Analyze model outputs to generate design/performance tables and recommend component improvements.
- Support engine validation activities for small Turbojet and APU systems, including test planning, run program development, and on-site test stand support.
- Collaborate with EDSI-Mil Systems Design, Aero, Structures, and Project teams to generate engine cycle solutions aligned with system architecture requirements.
- Provide PSA support for conceptual, preliminary, and detailed component and system designs for APUs and small Turbojets. Deliver engine test planning, execution support, and performance analysis. Provide systems analysis support as needed across Small Engine Programs.
- Engage with internal and external customers; strong communication skills and assertiveness are essential.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
- This Requisition is for Raytheon intern returning Spring 2027.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with MATLAB or similar analytical tools is a plus
- Working knowledge of jet engine systems and modules
- Familiarity with development engine instrumentation
- Experience managing interactions with internal and external customers

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
