HR Operations Lead - Zoho Payroll

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven HR Operations Lead to independently manage and optimize our HR operations function. The role requires strong expertise in HRMS administration, payroll processing, statutory compliance, and HR reporting.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Zoho People & Zoho Payroll, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage complete employee lifecycle operations with accuracy and efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesHRMS & Zoho Platform Management

• Own and manage day-to-day operations of Zoho People & Zoho Payroll
• Maintain employee records, organizational structure, attendance, leave policies, workflows, and HRMS data
• Handle HRMS configuration, updates, and coordination with support teams
• Ensure employee data accuracy and system hygiene

Payroll & Compensation Management

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing
• Handle salary inputs, incentives, reimbursements, deductions, and payroll reconciliation
• Prepare salary structures, CTC breakups, increment letters, and full & final settlements
• Coordinate with Finance for payroll processing and related activities

Statutory Compliance & TDS Management

• Ensure compliance related to:
• PF & ESIC
• Professional Tax (PT)
• Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)
• Gratuity & Bonus compliance
• Shops & Establishment requirements
• Manage salary TDS calculations, quarterly 24Q filings, and Form 16 processes
• Maintain compliance records and documentation

MIS Reporting & Analytics

• Create and manage HR MIS reports, payroll summaries, and workforce dashboards
• Prepare reports related to attendance, leave, headcount, and employee data
• Use Excel functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, and reporting dashboards

Employee Lifecycle Management

• Manage complete employee lifecycle:
• Joining to exit process
• Documentation
• Confirmation
• Transfers & promotions
• Exit formalities
• Ensure timely issuance of offer letters, appointment letters, experience letters, and relieving letters

Compliance & Audit Support

• Maintain HR documentation and statutory registers
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure adherence to applicable labour laws and HR policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Commerce, or related field
• 4–6 years of experience in HR Operations
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Zoho People & Zoho Payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance
• Good understanding of TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, Form 16 & 24Q filing
• Advanced Excel skills with reporting and dashboard creation
• Strong attention to detail and data management skills
