About the Role
We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Specialist to help optimize manufacturing efficiency across our Iroquois facilities. In this role, you will partner closely with Manufacturing Management, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to design, measure, and improve processes that drive gains in efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys turning data and observations into practical improvements on the production floor.

Salary Information:
The pay range for this role in Canada is: $78K - $97K CAD
The listed salary reflects the pay range for a role based in Canada. Compensation may differ based on alternate locations if listed. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly. If your experience or compensation expectations differ from the posted range, we still welcome your application.
Who you report to: Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

What the job is all about
- Design and optimize facility layouts and process flow using Lean principles to improve throughput, reduce motion and waste, and support quality outcomes
- Lead and support new equipment introductions, ensuring layouts, utilities, risk assessments, and compliance considerations are built into the process from day one
- Establish and manage labour standards, cycle times, and efficiency metrics to support capacity planning and performance improvement
- Conduct time studies, process mapping, and inventory analysis to optimize materials, resource utilization, and flow
- Analyze production costs and performance, identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures to reduce scrap, rework, and energy use
- Optimize workstation design with a strong focus on ergonomics, standard work, and operator efficiency
- Develop, track, and interpret manufacturing KPIs, translating data into actionable improvement initiatives
- Champion environmental sustainability initiatives, embedding waste and energy reduction into everyday operations
- Support health and safety improvements, identifying hazards and implementing preventative controls
- Ensure robust material traceability processes, supporting quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Participate in audits and corrective action initiatives, ensuring root causes are addressed and improvements are sustained
Who you are
- B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering or equivalent education/experience
- 3+ years of experience driving improvement in a manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green or Black Belt preferred)
- Comfort working with manufacturing data and metrics (Excel required, Power BI or similar tools an asset)
- Experience with process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
- Exposure to PCB assembly or complex manufacturing environments is an asset
- Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to balance analysis with execution—you don’t stop at recommendations

- You are proactive, curious, and comfortable asking why
- You’re just as comfortable on the shop floor as you are in spreadsheets and process maps
- You take ownership of improvements until they deliver results
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally to Ottawa
- Ability to meet physical demands of a manufacturing environment (lifting, bending, kneeling)
