The Position
Your Opportunity:
Manage and monitor the company's compliance with global trade regulations, including but not limited to export controls, customs regulations, sanctions, and embargoes
Stay updated on relevant trade compliance laws and regulations, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate potential compliance issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement and improve trade compliance policies and procedures
Oversee the classification of products by ensuring accurate tariff codes, export controls, and partner government agencies (PGA) information.
Serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance, providing training and guidance to employees across the organization
Handle import and export licensing processes, including applications, renewals, and record keeping
Effectively communicate with external partners, such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies, to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods
Monitor and investigate potential violations of trade compliance regulations, and assist in implementing corrective actions
Who You Are:
BS or BA degree and at least 5 years in an import/export position or 3 years with Masters.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of global trade regulations, including export controls, customs regulations, and sanctions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Preferences:
Experience in trade compliance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
Professional certifications in trade compliance (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker)
Detailed knowledge of Roche Diagnostics products and parts thereof
Familiarity with trade compliance software and tools
This is not a remote role. This role supports hybrid model of three days in the office and two days at home. Location is at the Roche US Diagnostics headquarters in Indianapolis.

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $139,400.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
