Monitoring & Testing / Compliance Analyst
Location:
Toronto, ON (3 days in office, Wednesday mandatory)
Base Salary:
$60,000 – $65,000 CAD (dependent on experience)
The Client:
Our client is a well-established financial services organization with a strong presence in the Canadian market. They offer a collaborative and structured environment with exposure to multiple areas of compliance, risk, and regulatory functions. This role sits within a dynamic team that supports both compliance oversight and monitoring and testing activities, offering strong development potential for early-career professionals.
What you will achieve in this role:
- Execute compliance monitoring and testing activities across various business units
- Support internal audits and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
- Assist with monthly reporting and contribute to deadline-driven deliverables
- Contribute to the ongoing development and rollout of the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) program
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives including KYC, AML, and FINTRAC-related processes
- Maintain and update policies, procedures, and internal training documentation
- Assist with internal inspections, information control programs, and regulatory reviews
- Participate in Bloomberg reviews and other compliance checks
- Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and disaster recovery exercises
- Assist with system transitions related to BCP (MetroTech / Fusion)
- Coordinate with internal teams during disaster recovery testing and exercises
- Act as a key support function across compliance and operational risk initiatives
What you must bring to this role:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in compliance, audit, monitoring and testing, or a related field
- Exposure to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) or disaster recovery processes is an asset
- Exposure to AML, KYC, or regulatory compliance frameworks is an asset
- Prior experience within banking or financial services is strongly preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
- Adaptable and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask questions and seek guidance
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
