Roberts & Obradovic Law is a Toronto-based employment law firm representing employees across Ontario in matters including wrongful dismissal, workplace harassment, human rights, and employment contract disputes. We are seeking a skilled writer to join our team on a full-time basis to produce high-quality blog content for our website.
Position Overview
The Blog Content Writer will be responsible for researching, drafting, and revising articles that inform readers about employment law topics relevant to Ontario workers. The successful candidate will translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible content while maintaining accuracy and aligning with the firm's brand voice and editorial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write original blog articles, typically ranging from 800 to 1,500 words, on assigned employment law topics
- Translate legal concepts into clear, reader-friendly language suitable for a general audience
- Adhere to the firm's editorial guidelines, brand voice, and SEO best practices
- Collaborate with internal team members to refine topics, incorporate feedback, and finalize drafts
- Meet established deadlines and content production schedules
- Ensure all content is accurate, well-sourced, and free of grammatical errors
Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated writing ability, supported by a portfolio or relevant writing samples
- Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
- Excellent command of written English, including grammar, structure, and tone
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and respond to editorial feedback
Preferred
- Post-secondary education in English, Journalism, Communications, Law, or a related field
- Experience writing for professional services, legal, or B2C audiences
