Robert Half is working closely with a client who is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a newly created, full-time, on-site role, reporting to the Controller. This position will play a key role in advancing financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the organization’s expanding operational needs. There is also potential for growth into an Assistant Controller position. Key Responsibilities:Perform account reconciliations and maintain lead sheet tracking.Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for leadership.Oversee accounts receivable tracking, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting.Support budgeting, including preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.Prepare detailed cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.Track contract renewals and maintain related documentation.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Recommend and help implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls.Additional Duties:Complete HST reconciliations and ensure accurate, timely CRA remittances.Track and pay vendors using the electronic payee banking system.Prepare and manage cost-sharing invoices.Reconcile charitable trust associated with annual events.Review and reconcile staff gas receipts and grievance trust activities.Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and documentation.
