We are looking for an HR Coordinator to support key people operations activities for a Contract position based in Arlington, Virginia. This role will focus on delivering a smooth employee onboarding experience, maintaining accurate HR records, and helping ensure compliance with hiring and employment processes. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience coordinating background checks, HR administration, and HRIS updates.Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities to create a timely and organized start experience for new hires.
• Manage background screening steps and follow up with candidates, hiring teams, and vendors to keep hiring workflows on schedule.
• Maintain employee information in HR systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Prepare, review, and process HR documentation related to new hires, employee records, and routine personnel transactions.
• Support day-to-day human resources administration by responding to employee questions and directing inquiries appropriately.
• Help monitor compliance with internal policies and employment-related requirements throughout the onboarding process.
• Track onboarding progress, identify outstanding items, and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with process improvements and administrative tasks that strengthen HR operations and recordkeeping.
