Job Description

Task Description:

The Oracle database administrator is responsible for administering the MeF Oracle databases to include performance, integrity and security of the databases. The Oracle database administrator is also responsible for managing the Oracle databases in such a way as to provide all users access in a form that suits their needs.

Primary Duties:

• Troubleshooting user issues - 50%
• Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly - 20%
• Monitoring performance and managing parameters - 10%
• Managing user access, permissions and privileges - 10%
• Database documentation - 10%

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

• Oracle 19c installation, backup and recovery procedures - 10 yrs
• Database account and schema creation and maintenance - 10 yrs
• Unix shell scripting - 6 yrs
• Database and SQL tuning with AWR/ADDM or Statspack reports - 7 yrs
• Data import and export - 6 yrs
• GoldenGate installation and setup - 6 yrs
• Create and maintain Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model documents. Experience with ERWin tools - 5 yrs

Preferred Skills:

• Oracle Enterise Management (OEM) tool
• Table and index partitioning
