Branch Manager - Poultry Operations

Job Description

This role shall be the Contract Farming Branch Incharge for a Licious’ Backward Integration projects. The job involves production of Broiler Chicken with standard bio-security protocols and within the standard cost of production. The key stakeholders for the role holder shall be the members in operations spread across Head Office, support functions and within different verticals of the company.

Responsibilities

• Farm Management and Engagement: Assist in identifying the farms, engaging with the current farmers and help in making the production process more efficient. Build relationship with Farmers and ultimately help the company grow.
• Sourcing plans: Prepare and execute local sourcing plans and evaluate market conditions. Suggest improvements in the current plan aiming for high quality and profitability. Should be aware of the market trend and the industry requirement for the product. Should be able to provide strategic sourcing services.
• Negotiations: Negotiate with the suppliers for quantity, price, and delivery schedules. Responsible for renegotiating on new contracts if anything changes.
• Communication: Should be able to download the information down the line and vice versa to the sourcing manager and within the department and the vendors. Knowledge of local language is a plus.

• Vendor Connect: Liking for engaging with vendors, collaborating with them as their partner, and building trust.
• Analytics: Ability to understand operations and be able to identify and improve important metrices (cost, quality)
• Experience: In a sourcing set-up in Poultry Processing organisation, and with knowledge of the local language (preferred, not mandatory). Deep understanding of the product or willingness to learn.
• Education: Preference to members with education in Science/Diploma or Degree in Poultry Production; supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or similar field but not mandatory.
