Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 5 to 10 years of overall experience to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and test suites, with a strong focus on Playwright for web application testing. You will be a key player in transforming our testing processes into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and automated test scripts for functional and regression testing of web applications using Playwright.
- Test Execution & Analysis: Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and work closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- API & Database Testing: Perform API testing using tools like Postman and utilize SQL for database validation to ensure data integrity across systems.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions to enable efficient and continuous testing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts in an Agile/Scrum environment to define testing requirements, strategy, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Mentorship & Improvement: Mentor junior QA engineers, participate in code reviews, and stay updated with industry trends and tools to recommend and implement process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Total Experience: 5 to 10 years of overall experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Automation Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, including designing and implementing automation frameworks.
- Playwright Expertise: At least 2+ years of dedicated experience using Playwright for test automation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong programming or scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Methodologies: Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies.
Tools:
- Automation tools: Playwright (must-have), Selenium, Cypress, Selenium.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
- Bug tracking tools: JIRA or similar.
- Version control systems: Git.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
