Job Description
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional social media role.
Nan Xiang is one of the fastest-growing Chinese restaurant brands in the United States, with multiple new locations opening annually across Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings and Nan Xiang Express.
We're looking for a highly creative, organized, and execution-focused Content Marketing Specialist who can help bring our brand to life through content, storytelling, social media execution, and campaign support.
Working closely with the Brand Marketing Manager, you'll help transform campaign ideas into compelling content that captures the energy, culture, food, and guest experience that make Nan Xiang unique.
This role is ideal for someone who loves creating content, writing copy, capturing real moments, and turning marketing ideas into reality. You'll spend time in restaurants, at store openings, with influencers, and at community events—capturing the content that helps people discover and connect with our brands.

What You'll Own
Content Creation & Marketing Asset Support
Create engaging content that brings the Nan Xiang brand to life across social media, restaurant locations, store openings, partnerships, influencer activations, and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities include:
- Produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, RedNote, and emerging platforms.
- Capture photography and video content at restaurants, store openings, events, influencer visits, and community activations.
- Create lifestyle-first content that feels authentic, culturally relevant, and community-driven.
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments, team stories, guest experiences, menu launches, promotional campaigns, and special events.
- Create content using both newly captured footage and existing brand assets.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content and customer storytelling.
Social Media Execution & Community Engagement
Help execute the social media strategy across both brands.
Responsibilities include:
- Schedule and publish approved content across social media platforms.
- Support execution of content calendars developed in partnership with the Brand Marketing Manager.
- Monitor content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support influencer content execution and campaign rollouts.
- Engage with community conversations and identify opportunities for brand participation.
- Stay current on platform trends, emerging content formats, and best practices.
Campaign & Brand Execution Support
Support execution of marketing campaigns across both brands.
Responsibilities include:
- Support execution of marketing campaigns across both brands.
- Assist with store openings, menu launches, seasonal promotions, merchandise launches, and partnership activations.
- Coordinate content, assets, and creative needs across multiple projects.
- Support development and organization of marketing materials required for campaign execution.

Copywriting & Creative Support
Help bring campaigns and content to life through strong storytelling and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Write social media captions, promotional copy, campaign messaging, and customer-facing content.
- Support website copy updates and marketing communications as needed.
- Adapt messaging for different platforms and audiences while maintaining brand voice.
- Assist with creative brief development and content planning.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, and content creators.
- Build templates and content systems that improve efficiency and consistency.
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all content.
Influencer & Community Content
Support influencer and community marketing initiatives through content creation and coordination.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with influencer activations and content capture.
- Support partnership and event content needs.
- Capture and/or coordinate content during store openings, community events, and special activations.
- Coordinate with restaurant teams to identify and execute content opportunities.
- Help maintain influencer and creator content libraries.
Asset Management & Organization
Maintain organized marketing assets that support both brands.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain organized content libraries, photo archives, and video assets.
- Ensure files, folders, and creative assets are properly labeled and accessible.
- Support content reporting and performance tracking.
- Maintain templates and creative resources.
- Help ensure marketing assets remain current and organized.

Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in content marketing, social media, content creation, or related marketing experience.
- Strong short-form video production and editing skills.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities.
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging social platforms.
- Ability to create authentic, community-driven content that feels culturally relevant and engaging.
- Experience supporting content calendars and campaign execution.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
- Comfortable collaborating with designers, agencies, photographers, videographers, influencers, and restaurant teams.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate marketing objectives into content.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Restaurant, hospitality, lifestyle, retail, or experiential marketing experience.
- Experience supporting store openings, events, influencer campaigns, and community activations.
- Photography experience.
- Experience working with influencers and content creators.
- Familiarity with AI tools that support content creation and copywriting.
- Experience building content libraries and asset management systems.
- Basic design experience using Canva or similar tools.
- Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus but not required.
