  • Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus safety and cleanliness.

Positions & Pay Rates

Full-Time Bus Driver:

  • Responsible for assigned school bus routes, transporting students safely to and from school each day.
  • Starting Pay Rate w/CDL: $21.75 per hour

Substitute Bus Driver:

  • Fill in for regular bus drivers as needed, providing safe, consistent transportation.
  • Pay Rate w/CDL: $20.70 per hour

Bus Driver Trainee (while In Training):

  • Participate in training to obtain CDL or learn routes before taking on full responsibilities.
  • Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Getting Started: Training & Credentials

CDL & Endorsements:

  • Already have a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements? Great!

State Training / Certification:

  • Complete pre‑service classes and driver safety training.
