IT Network Security Engineer Pharma Canada

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and overseeing network infrastructures
• Configuring, supervising, and enhancing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security measures
• Investigating and mitigating network and security incidents
• Maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and protection of the network
• Offering expertise and assistance to internal teams on IT
• Recording and maintaining documentation of network infrastructure
• Partnering with external service providers
• Evaluating and deploying emerging technologies

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, information security, or an equivalent
• Extensive experience in network and IT security
• Proficiency with firewalls, VPN technologies, and intrusion detection/prevent
• Strong understanding of network protocols
• Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or similar credentials
