Job Description
Our client is seeking a contract based Senior Full Stack Engineer focused on bujilding APIs and modern web applications using React, NestJS, and Azure cloud services.
Duration: 6 months to start
Location: Hybrid Markham (4d)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using NestJS and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance modern web applications using React.
- Develop event-driven architectures and distributed systems using best practices.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker, Azure Container Apps, and Azure API Management (APIM).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps to enable efficient and reliable deployments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) to provision and manage Azure resources.
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases to support scalable application performance.
- Implement feature flags and incremental deployment strategies to safely release new features.
- Ensure systems are observable and production-ready using monitoring, logging, and telemetry tools in Azure.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following secure development practices.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience developing scalable full stack applications.
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Backend development experience with NestJS and Node.js.
- Experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications using Docker, Azure Container Apps, and Azure API Management (APIM).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or similar tools).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
- Experience implementing testing strategies, code quality practices, and application observability.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and modern application security principles.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced agile environments with evolving requirements.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver production-ready solutions quickly and iteratively.
