Job Description

As a Technical Procurement Specialist, your role involves checking technical requirements against vendor specifications, conducting negotiations with vendors, exploring alternative vendor options, and managing specific items across manufacturing sites or categories in project procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Float enquiries for critical items based on user requirements
  • Verify technical requirements provided by users and vendor specifications
  • Conduct second round of negotiations with vendors
  • Provide negotiation details to buying manager for finalizing deals
  • Place orders for finalized items and update SAP system
  • Address internal and external audit issues related to procurement in a timely manner
  • Assist buyers in resolving procurement-related audit issues

Qualifications Required:

  • B.Tech / B.E degree
  • 6-9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing
  • Analytical mindset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of equipment, processes, and maintenance activities
  • Commercial acumen
