ERP System Administrator

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a driven, career-minded ERP Administrator to oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of our J.D. Edwards One World environment. This role is critical to our chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless data flow across the supply chain, from procurement and production to labeling and EDI-based shipping. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between technical IT infrastructure and business process improvement.

Core Responsibilities

• System Administration: Configure, test, and maintain the J.D. Edwards One World ERP system to meet evolving business requirements.
• Manufacturing Integration: Manage and troubleshoot Label ID technology and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions to ensure continuous production and shipping.
• Project Leadership: Define project scopes and timelines for system upgrades; lead implementation teams through clear communication and risk mitigation.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing troubleshooting for end-users, resolving database and networking issues to minimize downtime.
• Process Improvement: Analyze current business workflows and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency and adoption of new system features.
• Collaboration: Work directly with the IT Director to execute departmental goals and maintain data integrity across all business applications.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience working with ERPs in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with J.D. Edwards One World.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL), networking, and ERP integrations.
• Direct experience with EDI standards and Barcoding/Labeling software.
