IT Risk Project Manager (Audit & Compliance)

This hybrid Toronto-based opportunity focuses on supporting critical audit workstreams, collaborating with technology teams, and addressing information risk in a fast-evolving environment.

What is in it for you:

• Salaried: $70-80 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $85-95 per hour.
• 4-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Remote on Monday and Friday; on-site Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Provide project support within the IT Security and Business Resilience team, focusing on audit standard compliance and related workstreams.
• Assist stakeholders in achieving compliance with audit standards and controls.
• Collaborate with technology partners to identify areas of information risk.
• Support the remediation of identified control gaps and risk exposures.
• Contribute to the ongoing maturation of audit and compliance processes.

What you will need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• PMP or ISACA certification is considered an asset.
• 5-10 years of experience in Information Risk Management and/or project management.
• Experience supporting or coordinating projects within a technology environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of audit standards, information risk management, and security controls is desirable.
• Understanding of information risk management principles and concepts.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a dynamic environment.

• Audit/compliance exposure (controls, remediation): 3 years (required)
• Exposure to IT Security or architecture: 1 year (preferred)
• Working in a large enterprise or matrix organization: 1 year (preferred)
• Background in financial services or insurance: 1 year (preferred)
• Exposure to business resilience or continuity: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• PMP or ISACA certification (CISA, CRISC) (preferred)
