Our unique set of capabilities lend themselves to highly complex systems and products, and we offer customers a range of services including product and systems design, automation, fabrication, assembly, and large volume contract manufacturing. Who we are looking for
Are you the type of person who sees a napkin sketch and already knows what tools, materials, and machines it'll take to bring it to life—by lunch?
Do you get a rush from turning the impossible into “it’s already on the bench”? Are you part engineer, part fabricator, part mad scientist? If you’re the kind of person who gets restless without a project to weld, wire, carve, print, or machine—read on.
We’re looking for a one-in-a-million rapid prototyping leader who can do more than run machines—you’ll run the whole lab. At Re:Build, we don’t want someone to follow the process—we want someone to create it. You’ll have wide latitude, a killer shop, and the mandate to go from idea to reality, fast.
This isn’t a job for someone who waits to be told what to do. We need a builder, hacker, fixer, maker, and doer. Someone who thrives in ambiguity and sees every sketch as a challenge to beat the clock and the spec.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
What you get to do (a.k.a. How You’ll Blow Minds)
- Take vague ideas, scribbles, or detailed drawings—and turn them into real, working prototypes
- Choose the right method, machine, and material—without asking permission
- Operate and maintain 3D printers (FDM/SLA), CNCs, mills, lathes, and other toys of the trade
- Lead and mentor a small team of hands-on engineers and technicians
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing leaders who move fast and break molds
- Lead the shop like it’s your startup—budgets, safety, uptime, materials, everything
- Create first articles, jigs, fixtures, test rigs, concept models—you name it
- Set the bar for quality, speed, and creative problem-solving
What you bring to the Team (besides a full tool belt)
- 5+ years building physical things—could be in aerospace, robotics, consumer products, or your own garage
- Fluent in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion, Rhino, etc.), CAM, and shop-floor ingenuity
- Comfortable getting dirty and figuring things out with limited inputs
- Experience leading teams or labs—or ready to step into that role
- Deep understanding of materials and fabrication methods: metals, plastics, composites, you name it
- You move with urgency, be responsible for your outcomes, and see constraints as invitations
Tools & Playground
- Fully equipped shop with 3D printers, CNC machines, hand tools, laser cutters, and more
- Access to Re:Build’s broader network of engineers, technologists, and partner companies
- Freedom to build the lab and the process as you see fit
- A team that wants what you make—yesterday
