We are looking for a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) software department, specifically for the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This team focuses on developing, integrating, testing, and deploying software solutions for cutting-edge radar systems in missile defense applications. You will play a pivotal role in the Platform, COTS & Infrastructure team, focusing on the development and maintenance of COTS and Operating Systems (OSs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Red Hat Linux (or equivalent vendor) systems.
  • Enhance our CI/CD infrastructure using Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible to support automated testing, building, and deployment pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems.
  • Work closely with the team to implement cyber solutions within tactical systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish requirements and dependencies involving OS(s), COTS, and Hardware.
  • Support full lifecycle integration activities including OS setup, testing, regression analysis, and resolution of site issues.
  • Assist software teams in integrating and testing systems across Linux-based platforms and radar sensor hardware (RHEL, FPGAs, and sensor components).
  • Adhere to established development practices and configuration management processes for deliverables.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Ability to secure an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance before starting.
  • Experience in deploying and debugging in Linux and DevSecOps environments.
  • Skilled in network, performance, and system health monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-software-COTS integration, particularly in radar or similar systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with missile defense systems or large-scale DoD systems.
  • Participation in software functional qualification testing (FQT) preparation and execution.
  • Experience working at government deployed sites with potential travel required (10%).
  • Proficiency with programming and scripting tools such as C++, C, Perl, Python, Bash, DOORS, Jenkins, MATLAB, and Grafana.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies for embedded and complex software products.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and build tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Conan, Ansible, CMake, GCC.
  • Experience with hardware integration involving FPGAs and radar sensor interfaces.
  • Understanding of container platforms (e.g., Podman, Docker, Kubernetes).
