Elementary School Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations, including diagnostic testing and individual assessments to determine student needs and capabilities
• Develop and implement behavior management plans tailored for students with special needs or developmental disabilities
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on social-emotional growth, coping strategies, and behavioral health
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with special education law
• Perform crisis intervention and develop safety plans to support students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges
• Facilitate social-emotional student assessments to identify areas requiring additional support or intervention
• Engage in case management activities such as early intervention, intake assessments, and coordination of services for students with disabilities

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in educational settings, preferably within elementary schools or similar environments
• Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health strategies
• Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and special education law compliance
• Experience conducting psychological testing, diagnostic evaluations, and social-emotional assessments for students with diverse needs
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and behavior management for students with disabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, social workers, medical professionals, and families
• Prior experience in school psychology or related fields such as social work or psychotherapy is highly valued

Pay: $34.00 - $60.00 per hour
