We're Hiring: Team Lead, Engineering – Next.js, Node.js & AWS
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Salary : 125k plus 10% bonus.
About the Role
Are you passionate about building fast, scalable, and cloud-native web applications—and leading talented engineers to do the same? We’re looking for a Team Lead who thrives in modern JavaScript ecosystems, mentors others, and drives technical excellence across projects.
You’ll lead a team delivering high-impact solutions using Next.js, Node.js, and AWS, shaping architecture decisions and ensuring best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering growth and collaboration
- Own technical direction for full-stack applications built with Next.js and Node.js
- Design and review scalable APIs and serverless functions with AWS Lambda & API Gateway
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS SAM, Cognito, S3, DynamoDB and more
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and DevOps teams
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
- Drive performance, security, and reliability improvements across the stack
- What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Team Lead or Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern frameworks like Next.js, React, Vue or angular
- Expertise in Node.js and back-end development
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native apps on AWS
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Agile workflows
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and security best practices
Bonus Skills
- TypeScript, GraphQL, Python and SQL experience
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or another container tech
- Exposure to monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK Stack
