We're Hiring : Team Lead, Engineering – Next.js, Node.js & AWS
Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Salary : 125k plus 10% bonus.
About the Role
You’ll lead a team delivering high-impact solutions using
Next.js, Node.js, and AWS , shaping architecture decisions and ensuring best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and mentor
a team of engineers, fostering growth and collaboration
Own technical direction
for full-stack applications built with Next.js and Node.js
Design and review
scalable APIs
and serverless functions with AWS Lambda & API Gateway
Architect and deploy
cloud-native solutions
using AWS SAM, Cognito, S3, DynamoDB and more
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and DevOps teams
Ensure
code quality
through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
Drive
performance, security, and reliability
improvements across the stack
What You Bring
Proven experience as a
Team Lead
or Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
Expertise in
Node.js
and back-end development
Hands-on experience building
cloud-native apps on AWS
Familiarity with
CI / CD pipelines , DevOps, and Agile workflows
Solid understanding of
RESTful APIs , authentication, and security best practices
Bonus Skills
TypeScript, GraphQL, Python and SQL experience
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or another container tech
Exposure to monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK Stack
