Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer for a well established Engineering Consulting client of ours in the Vancouver. Our client services mining , energy and natural resource sectors in Canada and the US. For this particular role, prior experience with mineral processing, gold/copper projects is highly desired.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex structural engineering mandates across the mining, energy, and natural resources sectors
- Oversee structural design and analysis for facilities, industrial structures, and infrastructure in remote and challenging environments
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
- Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Significant experience leading projects in the mining, hydroelectric, and energy sectors
- P.Eng. designation in British Columbia or eligibility for registration
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards (NBCC, CSA S16, AISC)
- Strong understanding of site execution and construction-phase support
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Experience contributing to technical proposals and business development efforts
