The Lead Production Technician will be a key driver of efficiency in the North York facility, overseeing plant personnel and ensuring that production requirements meet strict operational goals. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical skill—such as liquid batching and tanker loading—and administrative coordination, including procurement and data entry.

Shift: Monday - Friday, Daytime hours

Schedule: 44 hours per week with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch daily

Responsibilities

Production Oversight: Set and manage production requirements; oversee plant personnel in planning, loading/unloading, and facility maintenance.

Batching & Processing: Blend and batch liquid products based on batch card recipes; fill containers and package finished products based on demand.

Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections and collect samples of raw materials and finished products in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Logistics & Loading: Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and safely load tankers with finished products.

Technical Documentation: Perform data entry for orders, inventory control, and purchasing; identify and record any process or quality issues.

Safety & Housekeeping: Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations environment.

Skills: Strong mechanical inclination and comfortable working with both metric and imperial weights/measures.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Technical: Proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems; Forklift license/experience is a strong asset.

Physical: Ability to remain flexible and multitask within a high-demand production setting
