As an Assistant, your role will involve managing the companys procurement of products and services to ensure cost-effective sourcing from vendors and suppliers. Your responsibilities will include discovering profitable suppliers, initiating business and organizational partnerships, negotiating with external vendors, collating quotations, and preparing comparative analyses. Additionally, you will be monitoring deliveries, invoices, and payment processing to ensure timely closures, as well as ensuring proper documentation and adherence to compliance. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting key functional metrics to optimize costs and improve operational effectiveness.
To excel in this role, you should possess a qualification in Supply Chain or Business Administration, which would be an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with strong negotiation skills.
