We are looking for a Data Engineer to support the functional and data workstream.
This role focuses on enabling data driven decision making across the enterprise and facilitating secure data exchanges with external partners. You will be responsible for ingesting and integrating defined source data into target databases, building robust data pipelines, and ensuring the seamless flow of information across the organization.
This is a one year renewable contract at 35 hours per week, starting by mid April. The position is based in Montreal. The role is primarily remote with an occasional on site presence required at the Montreal office, along with mandatory travel to the Vancouver office twice a year. Please note that all applications must be submitted strictly in English and must include a resume and a formal presentation.
Advantages
Play a central role in a major cloud data transformation initiative within the financial and automotive services sector.
Secure a stable one year renewable contract offering excellent long term potential.
Work with cutting edge technologies including Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
Enjoy a flexible remote work environment with occasional travel to the Vancouver office.
Responsibilities

Support the automation and scheduling of data pipelines to ensure timely data delivery.
Contribute to the creation of foundational data models and support the delivery of advanced analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Engineer focusing on data integration and pipeline architecture.
Mandatory expertise in working with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
Strong proficiency in Power BI for supporting downstream analytics and reporting needs.
Willingness and ability to work remotely while traveling to the Vancouver office twice a year and occasionally visiting the Montreal office.
Complete fluency in English is required to operate effectively across national teams and to submit the mandatory application materials.
- *Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties.
Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.**
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery. If you excel at designing data pipelines and integrating large datasets, and are looking for a dynamic one year remote mandate based in Montreal with occasional travel to Vancouver, this opportunity is perfectly suited for you.
