What You'll Do
QXO is seeking analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Inventory Planning & Replenishment Analysts to join our high-performance Inventory Planning & Replenishment team. Reporting to the Director of Inventory Planning & Replenishment, this role is responsible for ensuring optimal product availability across QXO’s branch network and regional distribution centers. You will manage replenishment from manufacturers to branches, leveraging advanced planning systems to balance service, inventory, and cost.
The ideal candidate has experience in retail or distribution environments, hands-on exposure to advanced planning platforms (o9, Blue Yonder, or Relex), and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to execute a world-class supply plan.
This position will be based out of DC/Maryland/Virginia.
Supply Planning & Replenishment Execution
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across branches and regional distribution centers through proactive replenishment from manufacturers.
- Execute system-generated supply plans and adjust parameters to reflect changing demand, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Analyze and manage purchase orders, safety stock, and reorder points to support service-level targets.
- Identify and resolve supply exceptions, constraints, and imbalances between demand and supply.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Demand Planning, Procurement, Sales and Branch Operations teams to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and operational priorities.
- Communicate inventory risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning meetings such as the Supply Review meeting to align on replenishment priorities and supply strategies.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Utilize advanced planning tools (o9, Blue Yonder, or Relex) to execute and continuously improve the replenishment process.
- Support system enhancements, parameter tuning, and master data accuracy to improve plan reliability.
- Contribute to the development of scalable, standardized planning processes and KPIs across the network.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key supply planning metrics such as availability (“low stocks”) and inventory days on hand.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance responsiveness and reduce inventory inefficiencies.
- Support initiatives to digitize and automate supply execution processes.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in supply planning, replenishment, or inventory management within a retail or distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience with o9, Blue Yonder, or Relex planning systems preferred.
- Proven ability to manage replenishment from manufacturers to branches or distribution centers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with large data sets and planning metrics.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP and BI tools is a plus.
