Cloud Engineer - Azure with Secret Clearance

Title: Azure AppOps Engineer

Duration: ASAP - 2 months to start with high possibility of extension

Location: Ottawa - Hybrid model

***Must hold a valid Canadian Secret Level Security Clearance***

Role Responsibilities

• Automate Azure infrastructure deployment using Terraform Infrastructure as Code
• Integrate Terraform code into TFE CI/CD and deploy
• Collaborate with application SMEs to deploy Azure application requirements & configurations (e.g. ingress, key vault, etc)
• Configure integrations with 3rd party tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
• Monitor cloud resources and optimize performance and costs
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Strong Azure cloud platform experience (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM templates, Terraform)
• Networking concepts and Azure virtual networking
• Monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
• Experience with common shared components (PostgreSQL database, Docker images, Kubernetes clusters)
• Understanding of cloud security principles

Nice to Have

• Experience using JIRA and working on a scrum squad
