Applied Machine Learning Engineer (LLMs & Model Fine-Tuning)Location: Indore (On-site)About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Applied Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI systems.

In this role, you will assist in researching, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying open-source LLMs that power our products StaffJet and SkillAccess. You will work closely with senior engineers to build AI capabilities for recruitment automation, assessments, and intelligent workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who has experimented with LLMs, Hugging Face models, or NLP projects and wants to work on real-world AI applications at production scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesModel Research

● Assist in researching and evaluating open-source LLMs such as LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, Gemma, and other open-weight models.

● Support experimentation with different models to determine the best fit for specific product features.

Model Fine-Tuning

● Assist in implementing fine-tuning pipelines for large language models.

● Work with techniques such as:

○ LoRA

○ QLoRA

○ PEFT

● Support training and experimentation with instruction tuning datasets.

Dataset Preparation

● Help prepare datasets for LLM training and evaluation, including:

○ Data cleaning

○ Formatting

○ Tokenization

● Maintain dataset organization and documentation.

Model Evaluation

● Assist in benchmarking models based on:

○ Accuracy

○ Latency

○ Output quality

● Help analyze model responses and hallucination patterns.

Deployment & Integration

● Support the deployment of fine-tuned models into development or staging environments.

● Work with backend teams to integrate AI features into existing platforms.

Monitoring & Improvement

● Assist in monitoring model performance and identifying areas for improvement.

● Participate in experiments to improve model accuracy and response quality.

Required SkillsMachine Learning Basics

● Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.

LLM & NLP Frameworks

● Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers or similar libraries.

Programming

● Strong Python programming skills.

Data Handling

● Experience with data preprocessing and dataset preparation for NLP tasks.

ML Libraries

● Familiarity with libraries such as:

○ PyTorch

○ Transformers

○ Datasets

AI/LLM Interest

● Strong interest in Large Language Models, NLP, and Generative AI.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience experimenting with open-source LLMs.

● Familiarity with LoRA or PEFT-based fine-tuning techniques.

● Basic knowledge of model evaluation metrics.

● Experience running models locally using tools like Ollama or Hugging Face.

Nice to Have

● Basic understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.

● Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.

● Personal projects related to AI assistants, chatbots, or LLM applications.
