Job Description

Role Overview

A Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer (Cloud) works with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design cloud-based solutions that address business and technical needs. The role involves solution architecture, technical presentations, demos, and proposal development for cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities1. Customer Engagement

  • Work closely with sales teams to engage prospective customers.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand business and IT requirements.
  • Translate customer needs into scalable cloud architectures.

2. Solution Design

  • Design cloud solutions using platforms like
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Create high-level architecture diagrams and solution blueprints.
  • Recommend appropriate cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security).

3. Technical Presentations & Demos

  • Deliver product demonstrations, PoCs, and technical workshops.
  • Explain complex cloud architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support RFPs/RFIs with technical responses.

4. Proposal & Bid Support

  • Assist sales teams in creating solution proposals and cost estimations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and solution design documents.
  • Support pricing discussions and solution justification.

5. Proof of Concept (PoC)

  • Build PoC environments to validate proposed cloud solutions.
  • Demonstrate migration strategies, automation, and cloud capabilities.

6. Collaboration

  • Work with delivery, architecture, and product teams.
  • Provide feedback from customers to improve solutions and services.
