- Owning improvements in CI/CD, artifact publishing, reproducibility, and build observability
- Partnering with product, release, test, and infrastructure teams to deliver cross-functional outcomes
- Removing bottlenecks in build throughput, packaging correctness, and release readiness
- Leading OS packaging initiatives, including package creation, dependency management, validation, and release integration
- Mentoring engineers and raising the bar on design, debugging, automation, and execution
- Contributing directly in code for critical design, debugging, and high-impact technical work
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years experience using C, C++, Python, Go, Java or related programming languages
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building engineering infrastructure
- Deep experience with modern build, CI, and developer workflow systems
- Strong Linux systems and software packaging knowledge
- Strong Shell and Python skills for automation and debugging
- Experience optimizing build performance and debugging complex build or packaging issues
- Experience leading technical projects across multiple teams
- Ability to mentor engineers, drive execution, and raise the technical bar
- Strong communication skills and a clear sense of ownership
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus
WHAT IS AN ADDED BONUS
- OS image creation, package repositories, release packaging, or upgrade infrastructure
- Compilers, linkers, loaders, toolchains, and low-level systems workflows
- Distributed build systems, remote execution, caching, or artifact management systems
- Reproducible builds, supply chain integrity, signing, provenance, or release validation workflows
- Large-scale debugging systems and observability for CI/CD infrastructure
- Java build ecosystems such as Maven or Gradle
- Systems software domains such as operating systems, distributed systems, containers, virtualization, database internals, or compiler optimization
