Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
  • Dispense medications as per physician orders in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all medications.
  • Maintain and monitor pharmacy inventory, including stock levels, expiry dates, and controlled substances.
  • Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and clarifications.
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers when required.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital pharmacy standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and controlled drugs.
  • Participate in medication audits and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor and report adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of essential and emergency medications at all times.
  • Manage procurement and receipt of medicines from approved vendors.
  • Supervise pharmacy assistants and support staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
  • Implement hospital formulary and standard treatment guidelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
