Job Description
Publicis Sapient's Financial Services team is seeking an experienced Senior Google Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will hold a GCP Professional Certification and have deep expertise across core GCP services. Strong hands-on experience in designing large-scale enterprise landing zones and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform is essential.
Must-Haves:
- Only considering U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, GC-EAD, and H4-EAD candidates for this role — not accepting H1-B, OPT, or other work visa types.
- Preference for New York–based candidates or those residing within 25 miles of NYC
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week onsite at 375 Hudson St, New York City
Mandatory skill set required:
- Should have experience working in a Senior Engineer capacity
- Atleast 2+years experience with GCP
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (or equivalent).
- Design and build enterprise-grade cloud architectures and landing zones on GCP
- Experience in implementing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools-Terraform.
- Understanding of core GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, IAM, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Networking, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Design and build enterprise-grade cloud architectures and landing zones on GCP that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
- Lead the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, security, and operations to ensure proper integration, automation, and governance of cloud environments.
- Provide expert guidance on GCP services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Big Data, Security, and AI/ML services to architect optimal solutions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance frameworks using GCP security products and controls.
- Develop cloud migration strategies and lead migrations of complex enterprise workloads to Google Cloud.
- Experience with GCP foundation services, Resource hierarchy, IAM, KMS, Asset inventory, security, networking, observability etc.,
- Maintain current knowledge of Google Cloud Platform advancements and best practices to continuously improve architecture design.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of cloud solutions and help drive cost efficiency initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of core GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, IAM, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Networking, etc.).
- Knowledge of GCP logging, observability, SRE
- Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale landing zones and multi-project cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation and managing cloud resources as code. Ability to write advanced reusable terraform modules
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, identity, and access management.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts including VPC, VPN, hybrid connectivity, and private service connect.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, ELK and deploying applications on GCP.
- Understanding of cost management and cloud financial governance best practices.
Set yourself apart with:
- Hands on knowledge of Helm charts
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes infrastructure with Terraform Enterprise.
- Hands-on Python and Unix shell scripting is required.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) is a plus
Additional information:
Annual Pay Range (in USD): $150,000 - $195,000
The ranges shown above represent a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. The actual range for this position may vary based on location and the specific skills required for the role.
