Job Description
We are looking for a skilled backend/API engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance data delivery APIs for a regulated healthcare/compliance platform.
Required Skills
✔ Strong expertise in Python & FastAPI (or similar frameworks)
✔ Experience in building REST APIs (async & sync)
✔ Hands-on with OAuth, RBAC, token-based authentication & API security
✔ Experience with API Gateway & enterprise integration patterns
✔ Strong knowledge of microservices & containerization (Docker/K8s)
✔ Experience integrating with Snowflake & AWS S3
✔ Knowledge of batch data delivery (SFTP/ECG or similar)
✔ Strong in logging, monitoring, observability & error handling
✔ Experience in performance tuning & scalable system design
✔ Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows & production deployments
✔ Exposure to regulated environments (Healthcare / Compliance) preferred
Key Responsibilities
✔ Design & develop FastAPI-based REST APIs (async, batch & real-time)
✔ Build secure data access services with authentication & authorization
✔ Integrate APIs with API Gateway & enterprise security systems
✔ Implement batch extraction workflows & real-time data APIs
✔ Work with Snowflake & S3 for data access & delivery
✔ Ensure audit logging, compliance & observability
✔ Handle error management, retries & performance optimization
✔ Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, QA & stakeholders
✔ Support SIT, UAT & production deployments
