Immigration Paralegal

Role Description The Immigration Paralegal is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role involves preparing and organizing immigration applications and supporting documentation, including temporary and permanent residence, work permits, study permits, and family sponsorship files. The Immigration Paralegal will assist with legal research, draft correspondence and legal documents, maintain case files, and track deadlines for submissions to immigration authorities. The role also includes liaising with clients to gather information, clarify requirements, provide status updates, and ensure accurate, timely completion of forms and supporting materials. Collaboration with lawyers and other team members to support case strategy and ensure compliance with immigration regulations is a key part of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant Canadian immigration regulations.
• Knowledge of Immigration Issues and Visas, including common application categories and associated requirements.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting forms, letters, and supporting materials for immigration filings.
• Post-secondary education in paralegal studies, law, or a related field; a paralegal certificate or license is an asset.
• Experience working in an immigration or legal office environment, preferably within the Canadian context.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team setting.
• Proficiency with office software, document management tools, and online immigration portals.
