Job Description

Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) – Microsoft Fabric SpecialistExperience Required: Minimum 5 years overall experience

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric to design, implement, optimize, and manage modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database administration combined with hands-on experience in cloud-based data solutions, data integration, and analytics within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric
  • Administer and optimize databases, data warehouses, and lakehouses for performance and reliability
  • Manage data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning strategies
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across platforms
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Automate routine DBA tasks and deployments using scripting and DevOps practices
  • Stay current with emerging features and best practices in Microsoft Fabric and related technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a DBA or in a similar data management role
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Data Factory components)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, and database optimization
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
  • Understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, and query optimization
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of security, access control, and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI integration and analytics workflows
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • Microsoft certifications related to Azure or Fabric are a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
